ABOUT US

People who have been around Colorado for a while say that it is a remarkable story -- if not a minor miracle -- for an all-volunteer group to survive and thrive for over forty years. We have met in people's homes, the basement of a bank and a couple of churches.  We are proud to have been featured in front page newspaper articles, radio interviews, television stories, and an Emmy-nominated documentary. We have been involved with never-give-up advocacy efforts and a victorious Court of Appeals ruling.  We exist for a little-known but vital cause:  People like you with similar life experiences and challenges.  Be part of our next chapter!

OUR MISSION

To bring truth, education, advocacy, community and healing to those who have been impacted by separation from ancestral connections.

WHAT WE DO

In addition to monthly search, advocacy and emotional support meetings, we contribute to the community through the following initiatives:  Community Outreach & Resources; Arts & Media; Policy & Advocacy; The Male Adoptee/Alumni Summit, and collaboration with like-minded local and national groups.

OUR COMMUNITY

Based in Colorado, ASRC has a nationwide membership and support base with a special affinity for the Rocky Mountain West. We welcome support and involvement from parents by birth and adoption, adult adoptees, foster care alumni, those created through assisted reproduction, and professionals and counselors.  Join us!
